"My Sisters Keeper"
Our goal is to promote great opportunities for those in need all over the globe. We will come together to uplift, empower and encourage, to express our care and concern for those who need support from domestic violence.
The Comfort Home Place offers satellite community support meetings, called "My Sisters Keeper". This meeting combines several needs for both survivors of domestic violence and those currently facing intimate partner violence. Attendees can access:
• A self-care pantry with hygiene products and things like lotion and nail polish,
• A clothing closet with an emphasis on interview attire,
• Education on issues pertinent to survivors such as: Relaunching a career, Accessing educational opportunities, And escaping financial hardship.
• And a circle of supportive peers. This meeting gathers in a central location, accessible to many in the community, on a weekly basis. The meeting offers attendees travel support in the form of bus tokens. These supports are designed to assist women who may have limited access to their own funding and social support.
